About Shawn Banzhaf

PTVC Director Shawn Banzhaf served the United States in the Army National Guard for twenty-one years, retiring as the acting First Sergeant of the 1057th Transportation Company. As an Iraqi War Veteran, he showed exceptional bravery, earning the Bronze Star and Combat Action Badge for his valor. Shawn completed 100 combat missions in Baghdad, Ramadi, and Fallujah. Additionally, he authored "The 5 Ls: A Practical Guide for Helping Loved Ones Heal After Trauma" and has trained over a thousand individuals to use this method as a tool for supporting loved ones struggling with PTSD.
