VA Work-Study Program

This is a work program available to any VA education benefits recipient who is attending college or university at three-quarter time (16-week term = 9 credits) or more. Students may obtain employment at the VA Medical Facility, VA Regional Office or at other approved state employment facilities. Students are paid at federal or state minimum wage, whichever is higher, and these payments are nontaxable. The Pat Tillman Veterans Center is hiring for work-study positions. Email ptvcadvocate@asu.edu to apply.

We divide our student workers into teams who support each other and also have specialized missions. Working with the School Certifying Official Team is similar to most office jobs around campus. You'd show up to one of our campus locations based on availability, enjoy set hours and help us provide excellent customer service to our military-connected community. Working with the Student Success Team is more focused on mentoring new students just starting at ASU, as well as executing outreach and engagement opportunities for military-connected learners. This team has flexible hours, but may require availability during nights and weekends depending on our events calendar.

To apply for these positions, submit a VA Work Study application, a copy of your updated resume and a cover letter addressed to the hiring manager for which team you'd like to join. Please email ptvcadvocate@asu.edu for more information.
