Thousands of Sun Devils walked across the stage at the 2019 Spring Commencement, and thousands of family and community members cheered them on. Veteran, active duty and dependent graduates alike all had a chance to shine at this emotional ceremony. At the end of each semester, the Pat Tillman Veterans Center and the ASU Alumni Association recognize student veteran graduates with the Veterans Honor Stole Ceremony. Every year the ceremony grows larger, with more than 150 graduates and 700+ guests in attendance this year. It is a point of pride for our student veterans and their families.
In celebration of Veterans Day, Arizona State University proudly honors veterans and active members of the military with an annual series of events across the metro Phoenix campuses. With the theme Salute to Service through service, ASU’s 2018 Salute to Service events are dedicated to all Americans who serve, whether on the front lines of combat or the front lines of improving their communities.
