HeroPreneur National Veteran Business Summit

If you haven’t already, be sure to register for the HeroPreneur National Veteran Business Summit — a full day of events focused on empowering veterans through entrepreneurship, employment and education. The summit takes place Nov. 14 – 16 at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Events will include general sessions, breakout workshops and terrific networking opportunities. Sessions and workshops on Nov. 15 will focus on entrepreneurship, while the events on Nov. 16 will focus on veteran employment. A limited number of full-day passes (which include lunch with a keynote speaker) are available through the Pat Tillman Veterans Center. Salute to Service 2018

Each year in celebration of Veterans Day, ASU proudly honors veterans and active members of the military with Salute to Service, a series of events on each of the ASU campuses. We encourage you to attend all of the Salute to Service events, including military appreciation athletic events, panel discussions, professional development and personal enrichment opportunities, and other activities going on Nov. 5 through 12.

With the theme Salute to Service through service, ASU’s 2018 Salute to Service events are dedicated to all Americans who serve, whether on the front lines of combat or the front lines of improving their communities. Panel Discussion: U.S. Military — The Changing Character of Conflict

Third Annual Dean’s Cup 2018

Watch as a team of student veterans from the Pat Tillman Veterans Center, along with teams of cadets and midshipmen from the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine ROTC units, compete to take home the coveted Dean’s Cup in the annual Salute to Service flag football tournament. Come cheer your favorite team to victory in Sun Devil Stadium at the Tempe campus on Sunday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Find out more about the tournament in student veteran Ryan Wadding’s article. ASU Student Media Housing Fair

The biannual housing fair features services that can assist with learning about on- and off-campus living. Representatives from a wide range of residential communities and businesses on and off campus will be available to answer questions. University Housing representatives will be there to answer questions about on-campus living options as well. Come by for free food, giveaways and more.

Thanksgiving dinner on campus

ASU Student Media, in partnership with Sun Devil Family Association and Union Tempe, invites you to enjoy a free Thanksgiving meal. Please bring two cans of nonperishable food items to donate to the City of Tempe Food Bank and the ASU Pitchfork Pantry.
