The Pat Tillman Veterans Center wants to connect you to the many veteran-focused job and internship opportunities available at and around ASU. Check out these positions from Handshake to boost your resume and gain experience in a variety of fields. Handshake is your online hub for finding internships and jobs, scheduling career advising appointments, discovering hiring events, and more. After you’ve logged in, click on the "Jobs" tab and search in the "Job titles, employers, or keywords" box the phrase "Veteran Preference".

Under the filters tab on the right hand side of the page, scroll to the label section and find and click on the label titled "student veteran events".


VA Work-Study eligibility

This is a work program available to any educational benefit recipient who is attending college or university at three-quarter time (16 week term = 9 credits) or more. Students may obtain employment at the VA Medical Facility, VA Regional Office or at other approved state employment facilities. Students are paid at federal or state minimum wage, whichever is higher, and these payments are non-taxable. The Pat Tillman Veterans Center is hiring for work-study positions. Chelsey Jonson serves as the liaison between Career and Professional Development Services and the Pat Tillman Veterans Center. As a career and industry specialist, Chelsey guides ASU's military-affiliated students in their journey of becoming career-ready. She helps students explore career options and provides assistance with each step of the job search process. She enjoys helping students navigate their career paths.
